The below information comes directly from Portland Preparedness Center:
We have family on the east coast, and I think just about everyone in America is connected to someone who is directly affected by this disaster. Many small towns and communities have been devastated. There are millions affected who are not being talked about on the news and though we cannot help everyone we sure can try.
Some of our Facebook customers have made us aware of a local preparedness group of families that have established a distribution network to get supplies to areas you are NOT hearing about on the news, organizing to gather supplies for victims of the east coast disaster.
Elizabeth, New Jersey,
The Portland Preparedness Center has offered to combine our efforts with those of our preparedness communities here in the metro area.
We are hosting a collection point and organizing shipping of donated supplies as well as sending our own donations from our own inventory. We have also reached out to our vendors and consignors and at the time of writing this letter we have already secured over 396 pounds of food.
But more can be done.
We are accepting donations of goods:
Food (nonperishable)
Toilet Paper
Water Purifiers and Filters
Medical Supplies
Supplies Donations can be delivered to our store location at
7202 NE Glisan street, Portland Oregon 97213
Monday – Saturday 10am – 6pm
We are also accepting donations to assist with shipping the donated items to the east coast, any amounts over our shipping expenses will be used to purchase additional relief supplies. We will provide open books of donations for accountability purposes since we are not a non profit and not collecting any administrative costs to this relief effort.
Note from J. Bradbury. Please help if your able. They would do the same for us. Click here for the full story and donation button.
